Traditional techniques, hand made production. Starting from making models and moulds, through the casting of each piece by hand in plaster moulds, firing and delicate hand painting before glazing – everything is hand made, as it was centuries ago when these processes ere developed.
I have fallen in love with replicas of the traditional tile stoves. I have been mostly inspired by the characteristic hand painted ornamentation based on Dutch faience and wall tiles, so popular at the beginning of the 18th century, when our workshop was originally established.
Hand made ceramic production means that each tile is unique. There is no repetition. From the the forming and polishing of a design’s details one can see small unique elements resulting from the brush of a wet sponge on we clay. Tiles are hand painted so that even the highest professionalism leaves slightly different intensities of color.
We also create Small Pottery. Where you can find hand made and unique lamps, stove miniatures, cups, candlesticks, garden plates and frames for sockets.
