Once upon a time I bought a picture book of English interios. Where were many of them, but the one we chose to based this room on was special. It changed positively my opinion of English interior decorating. Pictures on the walls? Yes, but not necessary in symmetrical rows. And their chimneys! Our English Room has a chocolate powder color palette. … Small bone china pots and figurines decorate the chimney, in the English style. In the entry way, we have decorated the wall with farm pictures: horses, cows, chickens and rabbits. I’m still not certain that the Frensh tailor’s mannequin should stay here, in such an English environment. And of course the bathroom is decorated with brown-blue ornaments take from William Morris wallpapers.
